Called Prussian Blue, it’s a light blue with a smooth Alcantara texture to it. While I loved the nice leatherette that VooPoo used on the original Drag X, the version I received for this review looks and feels even nicer. The battery compartment has clear polarity markings and comes with a plastic sleeve for use with an 18650 battery. On the bottom, we have a classic hinged battery door, which feels solid and locks into place after you insert the battery. The front panel, where we have the dire button, display, power adjustment buttons and the USB Type-C port has remained the same as on the original Drag, with the beveling of the buttons being the only noticeable change.
Voopoo drag x tank mods#
The Drag X Plus is one of the sleekest 21700 mods I’ve seen, with only the Augvape Druga Foxy One being just slightly more compact. You can get away with a 26mm diameter, but it’s overkill for such a compact device. Starting at the top, we now have a classic 510 connection, with a gold-plated, spring-loaded pin, which accommodates atomizers up to 25mm in diameter without any overhang. The new leatherette is even nicer than before, as well.

The new Plus variant is a classic single-battery mod that can be used with virtually any 510 atomizer, which was one of the few gripes people had with last year’s pod mods. The Chinese manufacturer was wise enough to not implement huge design changes, maintaining the popular form factor of the original Drag X, and simply doing away with the top airflow control system and pod connection. Believe it or not, VooPoo managed to do an even better job on the new Drag X Plus! Don’t get me wrong, they also performed fantastically, thanks to a simple, yet effective, airflow control and the tried-and-true PnP coil-heads, but the aesthetics played a huge role in their commercial success. When the Drag X and S pod mods came out last year, the thing that really blew everyone away was the sleek design, solid build quality and that nice high-quality leatherette. Let’s see if it lives up to the hype: VooPoo Drag X Plus Specifications After taking the vaping world by storm with the awesome Drag X and S pod mods, then refreshing its dual-battery design with the Argus GT, the Chinese manufacturer is once again causing a stir with its VooPoo Drax X Plus, a 21700 mod that comes with a fresh tank and the new TPP coil-heads. best tank system I have found since starting vaping in 2012 when I quit cigarettes.VooPoo has been on a roll for over a year now, and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down. The little extra cost for the coils is more than worth it considering how long each coil/wick lasts. The coils are a little more expensive, but they usually last at least a month (and I'm a heavy vapor) or longer. Before finding these, I used an Aspire Nautilus exclusively, but now I use only these. I love being able to just pull off one tank and pop on a different one without having to screw in a new base.to swap between flavors. I have 3 tanks set up with 3 different flavors in each one.
It comes with one tank (tanks come in two sizes, 2.ml or 4.5 ml, and you can buy more tanks separate from the base without the base for a pretty low price. Really great if you like to switch between flavors, juices,etc. Tanks require no unscrewing or screwing back on to battery/mod to refill either, just pull the tank off of the base and open the small tab on the bottom of the tank to refill without having to unscrew anything. Just screw the base into your 510 battery/Mod and set the tank with the juice into the base. The tank has a 510 threaded base that attaches the tank in place magnetically.
